This paper demonstrates the properties of technical terms in general and introduces the efforts to refine the medical terms in contemporary Korean. There are many Sino-Korean terms which are too difficult to comprehend in the medical field. In
the
「Medical Termonology ; the 4th edition」, we suggest many original Korean words be substituted for the Sino-Korean words. This suggestion has been made with cautin and it is hoped that the new terms will gradually replace the traditional
Sino-Korean
terms.
